Faridodin "Fredi" Lajvardi
CEO & President
Si Se Puede Foundation
I have a BAE from Arizona State University and have taught at Carl Hayden High School for 30 years. During the early part of my teaching career, I started the Arcrunner Electric Vehicle Racing Team and along with students designed and built 13 full sized electric race cars. In 2002 I formed the FIRST robotics team, Falcon Robotics, Team 842. In 2013 I received the honor of being named a Woodie Flowers Award winner. In 2015 two films were made documenting the success of the Falcon Robotics team and in 2017 an IMAX film was released that featured the Falcon Robotics team as well. After retiring from teaching at Carl Hayden High School in 2018. I joined the Si Se Puede Foundation as V.P. of STEM Initiatives. In 2022 I became the CEO and President of the Si Se Puede Foundation. I now oversee the Si Se Puede Foundation STEM Center where we sponsor two FIRST Tech Challenge teams and one FIRST Robotics Competition team as well as supporting, in any way we can, the greater robotics community and help maintain and grow the STEM ecosystem in Arizona.
