Elaine Michaud
Coordinator Senior, Outreach & Recruitment, Fulton Schools of Engineering
Arizona State University
Elaine is an Electrical Engineer who spent the majority of her career in telecommunications. She remembers the days when "mobile" phones were the size of a backpack and weighed more than 5 lbs. In 2008, she moved to Alaska where she discovered FIRST robotics and never looked back. She has coached FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams to a combined four Alaska state championships. Now that her students have aged out of FIRST and are attending college, she has redirected her career towards STEM education. In 2022, Elaine moved from Alaska to Arizona to work for Arizona State University as the state's FIRST Program Delivery Partner for FIRST LEGO League. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Postsecondary and Higher Education. Elaine's passion is to ispire young people to discover and hopefully pursue fulfilling careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Elaine is an avid hiker and loves to travel.
